Etherstone: Nobura's Secrets

Etherstone: Nobura's Secrets is a novel based on the evolving card game designed by Virginio Gigli and Simone Luciani, illustrated by Paolo Voto, and published by Thundergryph games.

Using the lore created by Gonzalo Aguirre Bisi, the CEO and founder of Thundergryph Games, I created four characters, each representative of one of the four major factions, and imagined what their life would have looked prior to the events that unfold in the tabletop card game.

The game Etherstone has four factions which I needed to develop characters and stories for. This faction is called the Exalted. This card is "Masque Della Peste".
One of the factions from the planet of Nobura called the Whisperers, a human offshoot that lives closely with nature. The card was called "Gift of Life."
A faction of lizard-human hybrids that dwells in the Trench. This card depicts one of their shamans "Gilgamud."
The Luminaries. A telepathic human offshoot race that lives in fabulous floating cities above salt pans. This card is "Technocrat"
Finally we arrive at the antagonist in the game: the Purple Etherstone that will destroy the planet if the other factions can't overcome it! This picture is called "Corrupted Appraiser" and shows an Exalted who has embraced the corruption of the Purp
