Baby Barbarian

& the Player’s Throne Issue I

Baby Barbarian is a YA fantasy comic about the Berrserks, a barbarian family from the Coldfast Mountains in the far north of the world of Shenanigania.

In the first issue of Baby Barbarian and the Player’s Throne, one of the family challenges the claim of a wandering wizard called Mr. Mountebank that his magical Player’s Throne will send whosoever sits on it off to a land of endless fun and games!

Magic is a real thing in Shenanigania, and our foolhardy Berrserk is swiftly spirited away to Castle Slapdash, a ruined castle full of monsters and other dangerous denizens.

The next morning, the rest of the Berrserks set off to save their wayward family member.

Baby Barbarian

& The Player’s Throne Issue 2

In Issue II of Baby Barbarian and the Player’s Throne, the newly reunited Berrserks must brave the perilous ruins of Castle Slapdash.

Narrowly evading an army of animated armor (say that ten times fast) the family ends up in a hot water... literally!

If they don't act soon, they'll be the next meal for three giant witches who took over the castle from King Slapdash

Working with other imprisoned soon-to-be ingredients, the Berrserk family escapes the wrath-and stomachs-of the sisters and return to Lethomme to tie up a few loose ends.

Baby Barbarian & the Forgotten God

In the third issue of Baby Barbarian, Baby Barbarian and the Forgotten God, the Berrserks embark on a new journey to fulfill a promise they made to return Meera, a captive princess they freed in Castle Slapdash, to the Warmslow Desert far to the south.

Well… not all of them embark. A domestic spat cleaves the family in twain! Brunhild, Brom, and Meera depart while the father, Bjorn, wallows in his pride in the local tavern.

Joined by some close friends, Bjorn follows his family. But when they come to a fork in the road, the two halves take different paths…. one leading to salvation, the other to an unforeseen reunion….

Meet the Berrserk Family

  • Brom Berrserk

YOU WOULDN’T LIKE ME WHEN I’M HANGRY!!!

Our fearless main character, Brom Berrserk, has never been farther from his family’s ancestral thwaite than the mountain village of Lethomme.

All that changes when a stranger arrives bearing a wagon full of magic knickknacks.

In Baby Barbarian & the Player’s Throne, Brom must learn how to rage in order to save himself and his family from the dangers in Castle Slapdash.

In Baby Barbarian & the Forgotten God, Brom sets his family on a new path to adventure quite literally when he follows a familiar song into a dark forest.

  • Brunhild Berrserk

DON’T PLAY WITH THE STICK… POKE AN EYE OUT!!!

There’s a saying in Korea: "Mother is stronger than woman"

That, in a nutshell, is Brunhild Berrserk.

Strong but gentle, generous but no push-over, Brunhild embodies the best qualities of Motherhood.

In Baby Barbarian & the Player’s Throne, Brunhild puts it all on the line to keep her family together… while adding to it along the way!

In Baby Barbarian & the Forgotten God, our brave heroine takes matters into her own hands to fulfill a promise to the family’s newest member.

  • Bjorn Berrserk

IT’S ALL FUN AND GAMES WHEN I GET HURT!!!

Extremely affable, mostly responsible, Bjorn Berrserk, our fearless father, has a dormant mean streak that sometimes comes out at night... after a couple (dozen) flagons of Ole Prune .

Like a lot of dads, Bjorn was a different man before he met Brunhild, and his old friends the Thunder Priest and Gulfas Gruel don't want him to forget it!

In fact, it's Bjorn falling into old habits (and off the wagon)  that sets the ball rolling in Baby Barbarian & the Player’s Throne.

In Baby Barbarian & the Forgotten God, Bjorn comes face to face with a figure from his distant past… and smashes it!

A realm of never-ending fun-and-games.

A perilous world of wonder and magic,

filled with mad kings,

terrifying monsters, and…

ele-chickens?

Welcome to Shenanigania
